fast paced thrillerShaun Hutson is a great writer. The novel grabs you in the opening chapter and moves along at a cracking pace. I've read a couple of his other books years ago and remember them being more violent and graphic than this one so fans of gore and horror might not get their expected quota, but the story well and truly makes up for that.
amazingi read this book and i couldnt put it down. the suspence catches you and drags you into the story making you feel you are part of it. its the best book i have read, the story is gruesome at times so it isnt for the weak hearted but if you are into horror and suspence this book is for you! i personally think this would make an amazing film and should be. Shaun Hutson is the master of horror. read it and trust me you will love it!
You won't put this down! This was my second book from Hutson, after exit wounds. This one again didn't let me down, lots of horror, violence, suprises and shocks! Kind of a weird mind game type of book, very eerie when you're reading alone and you really get in to it!
Fairly goodThis book was slightly handicapped from my point of view in that I had just finished three of the best books I've ever read in The Mermaids Singing and The Wire In The Blood by Val McDermid and Nicii French's Beneath The Skin. That said I was not disappointed and this is an extremely good read with a surprising ending that I certainly hadn't expected. The violence is quite graphic, just how I like it and Shaun Hutson is clearly a talented writer. I will definitely be reading more of his books.
