miraculous
I was as amazed as all the participants in this book at the natural and good advice given by Cesar, I had the good fortune to obtain the video at the same time and found combining the book and video amusing and unbelievable as in, goodness I do that or my dog does that! Incredibly entertaining and useful. My dog and I are much more "together" and in tune. M Rose

Good, but not great!
Be the pack leader, is a book full of stories about how Cesar has used his knowledge, experience and calm assertiveness to transform the lives of 'problem' dogs and owners. This is great, however, Cesar doesn't really give any of his secrets away. Don't expect to be transformed! It's an interesting book and a reasonable read, but it isn't a book which explains in detail how to train your dog - it just leaves you desparate to understand how to be calm and assertive with your dog!

A great read. Cesar Millan is a special guy who has a magical way with dogs. He makes it look so simple. A must for any dog owner!

proper place for the pet in your family
Great reminder for people that pets should have their proper place in the family. You see so many peoples dogs misbehaving that you would think that this book should be handed out to all dog owners. Who cares if the ideas in the book are not new if it works and you will have a calm, well behaved dog by using his advice? I think that dogs, like children, need rules and boundaries. I had two trainers for my dog, but only after I learned how to project the calm energy I had a dog that is not pulling on the lead, jumping on people or other dogs and now we have nice, long walks together and we are both happier. Maybe we shouldn't discard an idea just because it has been around for a long time.

Love this book. Has great advice including things you suddenly realise common sense should have told you but hasn't.
His best book yet I think.
